Schools supporting Go Middlesbrough

Starmakerz are proud to announce that 2013 will be the year of Go Middlesbrough, we are looking for young people between 11 and 25 to learn about local history and culture relating to the last 50 years of musical developments in the North East region of England, young people who wish to write and record songs and poetry inspired by our workshops, music classes and research into local culture, as well as creating artwork and photographs documenting the events over the year, our partner North East Film Archives are allowing young people to access their vaults of tv and film footage to discover long lost gems of a bygone era, as well as access to the central library in Middlesbrough for document and photograph research.

Towards the end of the year we will be holding at concert at our theatre in Middlesbrough, as well as an evening at MIMA we are also offering local schools the chance to see our show in their own school!

We are now looking at organising classes and recording slots at the studio so any one who is interested can either email us at [email protected] or come down to our base at Clifton Street in Middlesbrough on any Saturday between 12 and 2pm.
